My first 29er.
Awesome value for money! No other brand can offer these components.
Loving the climbs and single tracks the Western Cape.
Looking at the Senza DS for my wife.
I just bought one, best spec at price. This is also my first mtb… so as a roady I would probably have to hold further comment, will be interesting to see how it performs. bit heavy, dont think it comes in at below 13kg. Wheelset should have come with tubeless tyres, rims are ready though… I give it 4/5 just because its not the best but at the price I think its close!
Bought this bike after I crashed and wrote of my R5000 raleigh, that bike I used to cycle 5000km through Europe, From Cape town to Pretoria and Groenkloof (Pretoria) twice a week for 2 years, I ride really fast and I love technical downhill rocky sections, also do alot of 70km’s.
So I needed a more mature, comfortable bike but I cannot pay for dual suspension on my student budget.
So here come this Silverback. AMAZING value for money, it has all the parts you can wish for, the Specialized with EXACTLY the same specs that stood next to it in the bike shop cost 18000.
So far, it is a dream dowhill, I trained with my Downhill riding friend at groenkloof for 2 years now, and finally I can keep up to him, right on his ass on the downhills, this thing handles like a beast, its super comftable- feels like my dad’s dual suspension, grips nicely around corners…
Just need to get used to the 29ers on downhills- but the Magaliesberg Monster 70k will be its first true test, so we will see.
But BUY IT! You cant get better for the parts, I was reluctant as I didnt trust silverback…but I am fully converted now
What a fantastic bike for Rand value. I am very impressed with its off road capabilities. Flying on rough road conditions. A absolute must for any one who loved to ride the single track.
i’m new 2 mtb all that i knew was that 29er are faster than 26er and some other pros and cons.i wanted a new bike for a start in my budget which will hold for a coupal years. the bike shop compare specs against other bikes, which i d’nt understood, but the outcome was that it was R2000 over my budget close my eyes swipe the card and start riding. i’m hooked on my silverback vida 2 and riding hard to ride for the silverback team. Ps i’m beating some other bands that was in higher budget ha-ha-haa
Very nice bike. This is my second mtb and I like the performance. It is great value for money with decent components. No hastles so far!
Another quality Silverback bike – you can’t go wrong.
where do i purchase this in durban besides dave wiseman?
