Both the 106km and 80km routes remain the same as previous years. R10 of every entry is donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa.
The R355 is not a CX bike intended for lap racing. Its taller head tube, slacker head angle and longer wheelbase offer stable, predictable handling, intended for long days turning the pedals.

Phenomenal event showcasing SA, a must-do calendar event for both rider and non-rider.
Once again a brilliantly organised race, run smoothly, and thanks for removing the watering point at the top of Chappies- great move!! Looking forward to next year!! Keep it up.
After cycling my 25th Argus, I still believe it is the best rage in the world.
awesome!!! Cape Town does it again, the Best organising ever, and the most amazingly kind and helpful people in Simons Town, as well as wonderful supporters everywhere.
The organisers did SA proud excellent!!!!! The entry to the pens was smooth this year well done. I will be back next year.
One small gripe if I may… I was in Batch Q. Still no sure how some people get into such a high start group. Apart from the wind, I cannot think of anything else to complain about! It was my first Argus and I really enjoyed the experience. Thank you to the people of Cape Town. What a lovely atmosphere. The support is such a boost. Thank you so so much!
Brilliant race – thank you to all who contributed!
Well organized. Dissapointed that the cut offs were not extended due the heavy wind, for the not so experienced cyclists. Alot of dissapointed non-finishers and medalists who do not get an official time because they came in over 7hours.
One of the best organized races ever enjoyed every minute of it…wind and all.
As always – excellent!
Great race-even better organised with people picking up rubbish immediately. The trash areas were a lovely improvement as you now know you can wait for the next area to throw your rubbish away.
Great great great, will come again!
The event just gets better each year! Hats off to the organisers. The “gees” along the route is just phenomenal. The tour really puts Cape Town on the map!
Completed no 13. I just want to ask the organisors to switch off the fans for next year. Just joking. Great race as always. Well organised and entrance at expo with Timing Chip is a huge improvement. Splendid day and wonderful support along the route. Thanks Cape Town for making this a huge success.
One suggestion. With so many cyclist parking at Green Point Stadium and cycling to the Start, is it possible to create a safer route to the starting point.
Very well organized race!!!!!!
A highly enjoyable day. Riders were polite and the cold Powerade gave me wings. The massage girls at Suikerbossie knew what they were doing.
First Argus, and it exceeded my expectations!! Great atmosphere, excellent organisation, water points just great, sights en route wonderful! Then there was the wind, and of course Suikerbossie!!
Completed No 1. Thanks to all who made this fantastic experience possible. Hope to be back next year.
This was my second Argus, the first one i finished – the organisation going into the Argus is amazing, and everything went smoothly, even with 50km/h winds screaming around the corners of Chapman’s peak. I loved it. Will i do it again? I am not sure ….
At 64, I did my first Argus on Sunday. On Monday I asked around when the entries open for 2015. A true world class event. But then we all knew this already. Hats off to the organizers; it may be a fun event, but these guys—and gals—are pros. Give that man a Bells!
Best ride in the country
14th Argus completed. Have loved everyone. What would Cape Town and especially the Argus be without the Cape Doctor?
Congratulations and thanx to the orhanizers, sponsors and all the helpers-you are great!
Wind, what wind. I enjoyed the race so much I didn’t even notice the wind. Brilliantly organised as always.
Came from the UK to ride my 1st Argus. Fantastic, well organized, great support from the crowds and Chapmans Peak must be one of the best rides on the planet – loved it so much I rode it again on Monday
Nervous at start with traffic through registration, but after that, except for the strong wind, race was super! It is always the highlight of my cycling calendar and the beautiful Cape, I hope the Cape riders appreciate the beauty the ride in just when they feel like it.
I hope the Cape riders appreciate the beauty they ride in. Brilliantly organised as always. will be back. a must do for any cyclist.
What an amazing race, this is by far the BEST road race that I take part in. Done this three years in a row and I will be back again next year for sure! The scenery is just awesome , I just took it slow this year and took in every thing that was out there.
My 1st Argus!!! Wonderful experience…will do it again. Can perhaps try to improve water points!
BRAVO TO CAPE TOWN AND ITS PEOPLE.WELL DONE TO THE ORGANISERS.THE RACE IS NOT JUST ABOUT DOING IT IN THE BEST TIME.FOR ONE DAY OF THE YEAR WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE AND OBSERVE THIS BEAUTIFUL,SCENIC ROUTE WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT MOTOR CARS OR BUSSES.TO THE MANY ELDERLY FOLK THAT STOOD OUTSIDE SUPPORTING US,THANK YOU THIS IS WHY I CYCLE.
As usual, a very well organised race!
It was a blast. Well organised. Hats off to the organisors and sponsors.
My 1st Argus and really enjoyed it. Well organised, great crowd participation and awesome support and encouragement from other cyclists. WIll be a definite on my calender for the future!!!
My first Argus – loved it from start to finish. Cannot wait for the next one!
I’ve never seen a race this well organised. What a wonderful experience!
Through Wind and Heat, this is and will always be the best road race ever! I have finished 6 and will return to do my 10.
Best race in the world!!!
My 1st Argus but definitely not my last. A very well organisaed race. Beautiful scenery and friendly crowds and fellow cyclists. Easier than I thought; even with the wind.
This was my first Argus, and riding with a friend we took it very slowly, but had the most fun ever.
The organization was brilliant, the atmosphere incredible . We will be back next year. Please just sort the wind out next year.lol
Again, a fantastic ride. Exceptionally well organised, wonderful crowd support, makes you feel like you are winning the race, even though you started in the middle of the field. Cant wait to do it again, and again, and again!!!
Fabulous race as usual … Despite the wind :) I thought the seeding worked better this year with the charity groups a bit further back. Felt much safer with more experienced cyclists around on the fast sections and was much easier to pass slower cyclists when most were more aware of the road rules.
Tuff but i Keep coming back. The most awesome race, from expo to finish! WInd was strong but in comparrison to 2009.. we can’t compain, wind is part of the Argus. Well done to a well organized race.
Very well organised, thank you! Definitely will be back next year.
