Good race. No spectators allowed near the start is kinda poor. Parramedics need to be better trained as well. But overall a decent event

Excellent and tough race. Everyone was going on about the N14 before the race, but it’s really the hills after the N14 which were the real killers coupled with the heat.

From an organization point of view, the only “complaint” is that I felt that some of the water points were poorly placed, like the first one halfway through an ascent. You have a bit of momentum and the water point comes along and everyone in front of you just brakes no matter where they are on the road to get to the water point. After that, it’s trying to squeeze past the masses and just slog through the rest of the ascent.

Great event, Well organized as always. Our road surfaces are in Very poor condition though. Any improvement there will improve safety & enjoyment!! Keep up the great work.

Super event. Well organized. Most probably the best around. Not too much to complain about….except – very far for family and friends to walk if they wish to join you at the end. The slippery and narrow bridge to Allandale parking was terrible. Need more bridges or walk way along the river side of the finish straight. Overall, well done

Excelent race. Must train to enjoy it. Agree with fellow cyclist, maybe make the bridge double the width. At waterpoints, make a lane were those that don’t want to stop can pass through instead of navigating through the ones that stop. A real must do for any cyclist. Thank you, did enjoy

Great day, well organised and well presented. Could find no fault with race day organisation. only issues i have are the “pre” race things – very poor “goodie bags” – getting worse every year, and merchandise available for purchase is not great quality and very expensive. for such a great event, this could be improved, but overall experience – GREAT!

Awesome race!! My first sub 3!!! As always the best organised event.

The only complaint is the late comers that squeeze pass you to get to their starting bunch. There should be a cut off time, like 15 minutes. If your’e not in the starting group 15 min before the start, then you should fall in the group behind.

Agree about the road surface at some places.

Fantastic – 11 in a row done & dusted. Must agree with others regarding water points – there are enough but can be a little better organised. Also supporters struggle to get to start/finish area. Not sure how this can be improved though. Lastly – the medal is not much compared to some other events, maybe it can feature some of the landmarks of Jhb (different one every year).

Overall hats off to everyone involved, its a massive task, thank you and well done!!!!

Additional point – better control at the start to ensure everyone’s in the correct pen. I see a number of riders every year without numbers who just sneak in for the ride without entering! This is annoying, and marshalls should eliminate this at the start.

Tough, tough tough! Great day and great race but…. quite a few glitches. Maybe getting a bit out of hand logistically? Paid for a wet bag & never got it, OFM goodie bags were amazing surely Jozie can do better, traffic jams especially going out for cars and humans!! Also I think all charity groups should start after the licenced guys. The racing Jnrs & u/16s battled to get past the shiny black clad guys who used up the whole road & wouldn’t give way leaving some of the youngsters having to go the gravel route & risking punctures! For us middle speed riders the end is OK but I also think for the faster guys finishing in bunches the finish is rather dangerous. Spectators & music along the route was wonderful!

Great race as always, getting a bit full now though and the water points were very crowded so did not allows for a clear path past. still a great way to spend a Sunday with 30,000 like minded individuals…

First time doing the 94.7, and it was tough, but overal it was a fantastic event and well orgainsed, only issue is the water points especially the one turning into Wittkoppen it was sort of Bottleneck(EMS passing on the right and faster riders in the middle between riders and waterpoint) Definetely coming back next year.. Greart organisation…

    Maxine Purchase's rating:

    A few points that should be addressed;
    1. having to pay for parking at the Expo – very annoying
    2. Goodie bags definitely dropping in standard
    3. Walk-ways very conjested – need to double these up
    4. Medals definitely need to be addressed. This is one of the biggest races in the calendar and we get miserable pieces of metal

Overall well organised. Great marshalling. Roll on 2014

This was again the best organised race of the year. What an experience to race/ride through Jozie! A must do event on any cyclists calendar.

Well done to Tanya Harford for organising it for the 17 th time all traffic free

I did the 94.7 for my first time this year and finished it as well. It’s a wonderful experience against all my other races I’ve done so far. I loved the vibe on the roads with the music at each water point. This was a tough race and the temperature was hectic, very tiring through the afternoon. The organizing of the event was well planned with very helpful officials along the routes. Keep it up!!!

did my first 94.7 and finished . It was great doing it with my son (both first timers) well organised and I enjoyed the vibe. The hills on the last 10km were killers. The heat was terrible and certainly posed a challenge

WOW! My first 94.7 done on a MTB. I will now have to get a road bicycle and continue with this well organised event. Well done to everyone involved. Proudly South African on this one!

Very well run race with excellent vibe and care for bikers. The problem is the injustice to novices, particularly those a bit long in the tooth. Leaving late,as we tend to have to lessens our chances of completing the race. This is grossly unfair. You are able to tag individual times so why not haul off EVERYONE who does not meet the cut-off target individually. It’s ridiculous that a stronger younger rider can have as much as an hour’s headstart on an older novice rider and thus have a much better chance of completing the race in time. It’s a huge let down to be told to go home when you actually may have performed better than those who started earlier and who are allowed to finish. This injustice really needs to be fixed if the results are to have much meaning .
