Route description:
All distances out and back (turn points at 20 & 35km), the Midvaal area offers traffic friendly road conditions and the race is excellently controlled by the Midvaal traffic department.

The Protea Cycle Challenge was first presented in 2008 at the Protea hotel, Suikerbosrand; this race has since become one of the most popularraces in the Southern Gauteng area. Newly tarred road surface, Safe route and venue.
