   Great route, tough but enjoyable.

   Found it a bit overpriced for the lack of marshalls or anything before and after.

   Very tough indeed.

   Not for the fainthearted.

   Well marked route,good refreshing points(not waterpoints!).

   Beatifull tracks,lots of variety to test all you skills neede in mountain biking(even portage).

   Lacked a little in the afterwards,prize gining also almost 45 minutes late.(guys we have families).

   Will definately try to conquers the Simonsberg again next year.

   I agree with BatmanZA, great route and tough and over priced when compared to the other great races that have some food before and after…

   There were 40 DNFs out of 170 (I’m not sure how many didn’t show on the day though).
   The pre-race description was way off the actual race. The email I received after registering said the following: “we are finalising the route, and expect the climbing to total around 1300m” and “We will have 1 waterpoint at about halfway in the race”. The route was 55kms with 1850m of climbing and there were 2 refreshment points, one at 20kms and one at 40kms.

   I’ll be better prepared for next years race!
