REGISTRATION and LATE ENTRIES Friday 29 June and Saturday 30 June at Race Office in Main Street, Plettenberg Bay, from 14h00 – 19h00; and Sunday 1 July at Race Office in Main Street, from 06h00 – 07h00 (additional late entry fee of R50 per entry)
The race starts in Main Street and all cyclists will observe a neutral zone till they cross onto the N2. The 110 km and 70 km race will proceed up the 4km Keurbooms hill and cyclists will enjoy the fast and flat route along the N2 all the way to the Natures Valley turn off where the 70km race leaves the N2 and heads for the Natures Valley pass. The 110 km cyclists will proceed through the main toll plaza on the N2 till the turnoff to Cold stream. The way home is via the village of Cold stream, the Blaukrans and Nature’s Valley passes and back up to the N2, giving hill climbers a chance to test their mettle. Riders return to Plett on the N2 and finish in Main Street via the short but sharp climb to the whale tail circle and a slightly uphill sprint to the finish line, where their hard work will be applauded by spectators lining both sides of Main Street. The 35 km and 20 km race will leave the N2 at the Keurbooms Beach turnoff; the 35 km cyclists will turn in Keurbooms Village at Kettle Beach and return via the old Keurbooms pass to the N2 and straight back to Plett. 20 km Riders will turn at Wybo’s on the Keurbooms Beach road and head straight back to Plett.
A Kiddies race will be held in Main Street after the start of the main races.
