What’s Wrong With This Picture?

The Runner’s World Online Ed has taken up cycling to work! Whilst we are very excited at her new-found mode of transport, she clearly has a lot to learn. Help her get more comfy (and safer) on the bike, by telling her what’s wrong with this picture…

Well for a start, her helmet is the wrong way round! But big up for taking up commuting…

Well, for starters, the bike is too big, wrong pedals for “normal” shoes, No Gloves (You do need gloves!) and the helmet…

There are pictures of naked women in the office behind her?

HA HA. Those are the covers of all our latest issues (Men’s Health and Women’s Health). The one you are most likely referring to is the Sports Illustrated Swimwear issue!

There is no water bottle or pump – totally unprepared? Gloves are also a good idea.

How about some proper cycling shorts…?

Considering the bike is so big, she should at least lower the saddle!

Bike not in my garage, even though I have entered numerous comps to try and win one. But seriously, bike is too big, takkies on cleated pedals, to many loose straps, a dress WTF??, Helmet on wrong way, no water, no gloves, no reflective clothing to warn taxi’s that you on the road. Otherwise everything is honkey dory.

Shoes are the wrong colour for those tights!

The only thing right are the pictures on naked women in the office behind! Helmet wrong way round, Saddle too high, Wrong shoes for clipless pedals, No gloves, No high vis clothing, No lights, No cycling shorts, No water bottle, Brake pads are worn and she cannot get into the granny gear because her gears are not indexed correctly. Looks like she is about to cycle in the office…is that allowed?

No saddle bag, no multi tool, no quick link, no spares…..not a proper lady’s saddle, wrong tyre choice for commuting

What’s right – other than the fact that she’s discovered the true way to travel?

I don’t really see anything wrong, the aero helmet will in fact reduce drag and give the sensation of flying – especially with a headwind. I, but its personal, would just add a bell for the moments you’re feeling extremely jolly. Otherwise well done;)
