Lance Armstrong spoke with The Associated Press in his first interview since federal prosecutors ended their investigation of the seven-time Tour de France winner.
When asked about the two-year ordeal, he said: “It’s not a pleasant experience. But I was confident that we would always end up in this place.”
The Texan said after hearing the news that the investigation had ended he hugged his kids and his girlfriend and opened a cold beer.
