What starts out as typical footage of a rider enjoying some singletrack, ends in a violent assault when a slower cyclist refuses to get out the way of the filming mountain biker.
According to tvnz.co.nz, the cyclist (Jordan Brizzell) uploaded the video of the attack to web, to help identify the man who allegedly tried to strangle him with his helmet while trying to steal his camera. The man, Aaron William Dalton, 45, has pleaded guilty to assault.
The clip is getting quite a reaction from the cycling community. Sure, the guy in front should have pulled over, no question, and his assault is inexcusable but did Jordan push the issue too far? Add your thoughts below.

The Chap in front is a real chop. I hope they find him and he gets prosecuted for assault. Common trail courtesy is to let the chap behind pass.
No the attack was not provoked by the rider at the rear.
I think both guys are chops. Agreed, the guy in the front should have pulled over and the other guys didnt deserve what he got, but he definitely tried to antagonise the guy in front!
Sorry byran youre the chop in this equation, the guy at the back was polite, on a number of occasions, he exlained trail etiquette to the chop in front, and all the guy in front had to do was take a run of area, break for 2 seconds and let the faster rider past, theres about 10 places where he could have done it. I hope the guy in front gets whacked. No pills for stupidity.
The front guy is an absolute cake!!! I hope he gets caught in a little dark setion of a remote trail and the lesson returned tenfold!!!
Dick with a camera on your head: words of wisdom – you cannot pass someone if you FOLLOW in their track. Why did YOU not pull of an give him a one-minute gap before continuing?? There were places to get past, maybe your not as good as you think!!
