Whether you are in the market for a new bike, or just keen to see (and ride) some of the latest bikes available in South Africa, don’t miss the next Ride Before you Buy event taking place in Cape Town this weekend.
The final Ride Before You Buy event in Cape Town for 2010 offers you the chance to roll through the exciting new trails of Contermanskloof mountain bike park on a variety of 2010 and 2011 bikes! Situated approximately 20 minutes outside of Cape Town’s CBD area, Contermanskloof offers scenic mountain bike trails perfectly suited for bike testing while catering for the whole family.
We have confirmed that we will be previewing some 2011 models from Giant, Santa Cruz, Specialized and Merida at this Saturday’s event and they are all available for you to ride ! The following bikes will be available for testing:
Giant : Trance X, Reign X, Anthem X, Anthem X 29er (only there until 12pm), XTC 29er.
Santa Cruz: Superlight and Nickel
Specialized: Epics, Eras, Rockhopper 29er, Stumpjumpers
We are still waiting to confirm which bikes Merida will be bringing along for you to ride.

What to bring: Helmets and pedals
Directions: Take the N1, then take the N7 towards Malmesbury. Just after the refinery, take EXIT 22 – the Durbanville/Tableview turn-off. Turn right towards Durbanville. Turn left at the T-junction onto
Contermanskloof Road. Continue past three quarries, turn right at the sign board ‘Contermanskloof Mountain Bike Trails’, and continue for 1km to the huts at the big dam on your left.

Full-suss 29er! Preferably Specialized.

that XTC 29er is mine! on the cusp of putting in an order so very keen to give it a good whirl.
Where are OMNICO (GT, Mongoose…) and Cape Cycle Systems ( Trek, Cannondale…)? This is on their doorstep. They should be there. Very disappointed in their lack enthusiasm to show case their products.
That XTC 29er is a mean machine! im busy pimping mine!
Unfortunately, they are still waiting for 2011 stock to come in …
There will also be a Santa Cruz Nickle and a Santa Cruz Superlight to test ride.
Why no scotts?
I got my 2011 XTC 29er last week! So pretty… Will be giving it a bash Sunday at Buffet Olives :-)
