Sunglasses of the Tour de France

For professional riders and their fans, the Tour de France is the most important race on the cycling calendar. To the bike industry however, it's a marketing opportunity, and for eyewear brands, the riders' noses are prime real estate - the best place to show off their latest designs. Here are some highlights.

Lance Armstrong – Oakley Radar / Jawbone

Loyal to those who stood by him when times were bad, Lance has always worn Oakleys. He alternates between the Radar with a smokey clear lens (available in very limited quantities) and the Jawbone in his foundation Livestrong's colours, which features snap lock technology allowing the lenses to be removed without the nerve-wracking frame bending. That said, Lance probably has someone to take care of that for him.

awesome shades, i wear a pair of jawbones and the stand out factor for me is how well they sit on your head through the rough stuff........
but i don't get 'roadies' i understand the need to be seen on the road, but chrome and metallics on your sunnies? i spent four months searching for a completely matt black pair
