1. Keep Going
One of the oldest tricks in the book is one of the most effective: the climb ends 10m after the actual summit. Most riders ease up over the top, or even just before, to gasp for air as they recover from their exertions. And then spend the next couple of minutes in a desperate scramble to stay in touch with their group. Keep going and you will be one of the ones putting pressure on the rest, as you relax with a cold sip of water.
