TODAY’S TIP: Hot Or Cold For Recovery?

Which is better to aid recovery – a cold bath or heat pack? We give you the rule of thumb.

A cold bath has to be close to freezing point- anything else is pointless.

Alternating hot and cold for tired and injured body parts seems to have merit for promoting circulation to the tissues.

Rule of thumb is, if your body is sore and stiff, heat it. If your body is bruised or swollen, RICE it – Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate.
