GroenKloof coming in at 7 over the Spruit and Northern Farms ….ahem . Nfarms faaahr prettier and more varied than Groenkloof . Groenkloof is also like Mordor in winter .

Grant, Northern Farms shouldn’t even be on this list. That spot really is like Mordor in winter. Groenkloof is great, with a lot of game, great singletrack and quite some variety.

Then, they seem to have forgotten about half the trails in the Western Cape, Eselsfontein is magic, Gardenroute trail park is great. The new trails around Simonsberg are fantastic, and then there are the McGregor and Greyton area trails. How could you ever choose a Gauteng trail above a Western Cape ride?

Howick Trails coming in at 12….. pretty good considering they are not “commercially focused”, are not a bike park and organize 60km of trails for locals to ride! Long live the volunteers and pioneers..

There is no way the Braamfontein Spruit should be in the top 20, it is a very basic path with a few features. There are trail centres in the Eastern Cape that are far superior on all fronts.

Haha were these voted on by absence of climbs and total lack of technical elements?

Holla trails near Balito has to be on the list. I guess the Spriuit makes it due to it’s popularity. It must be the most used MTB route in South Africa.
