DESCRIPTION:The “7Passes MTB”\, powered by Knysna Toyota is back!  It’s happening on the 7th of January 2023. This route offers the perfect opportunity for gravel-bikers to take on the 29ers. E-bikers are also welcome on this non-technical route. The open grass area\, directly in front of the Wilderness Hotel will be host to the start venue. \nBatch starts from 07H00 just before late registration between 06H00 and 07H00. There will be registration Friday evening\, 6 January 17H00 to 19H00 in George at Ground Zero.  7Passes MTB also offers a shorter route for younger or not so fit riders who still want to be part of the action! \nLeeuwenbosch Dairies will once again support the 38km event which starts on Saturday morning from the Highlands Cash Store in the humble little village of Karatara. The start time for the shorter route is 09H30.

DESCRIPTION:THIS IS A POINT TO POINT\, SOLELY GRAVEL ROUTE EVENT\, NO SECTIONS OF TAR ANYWHERE! \nKaroo to Montagu \nThree distances makes it possible for all fitness levels to experience this stunning ride: 70/100/210km \nThis event is open for Gravel bikes\, Mountain bikes and E bikes. \nEvent Distances \nKortpad/Shortcut 70km:  this route option is for those not so fit yet or a first time gravel event rider.  The route runs all the way downhill to Montagu with 3 short climbs that will test your lungs.  Just a fun way to get into gravel road riding. \nOmpad/Detour 100km:  adding a 30km through the reserve makes this the ideal distance if you have some fitness in your legs.  Not too long just that perfect distance making you finish in that sweet spot. \nLangpad/Longway 210km:  Race distance for the ultra marathon junkies\, those legs that know they can go the whole way.  This route has everything you may want on a gravel event\, some stiff climbs\, twisty downhill on a mountain pass and in between outstretched sections where you can really put the hammer down. DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Boland Landbou MTB will take place at Boland Agriculture School near Paarl in conjunction with their Festival Week on the 10th of September. \nBoland Agricultural High School is one of the leading educational institutions in the Western Cape\, where the normal academic curriculum can be supplemented with specialised agricultural training. \nWe are excited to have partnered with Onsite Events and Ride The Vines to ensure that our 1st MTB is a success. \nThe trails will meander on the farmlands of Landbou School as well as some of the adjacent farms in the region. The routes are fairly flat with mostly jeeptracks and farm roads with no single track or technical sections. \nAll three distances will take you past the game reserve at Denneboom so be on the lookout for some Eland\, Zebra and other buck in the reserve. \nAfter your ride you can join us at the Plaasfees with stalls\, food\, beverages\, live music and of course our wine. \nEvent Info: \n50km  –  R200  –  Start  –  7:45am \n30km  –  R150  –  Start  –  8:15am \n16km  –  R120  –  Start  –  8:30am \nMedals for all finishers. \nE-Bikes are welcome. \nThis is a fun event with prizes for all 1st place finishers in all the distances. DESCRIPTION:Gamka Heritage Challenge is a unique Mtb race with routes from Celebratio Venue in and around the Gamka Oos Area. In addition to the Mtb race there is also a Trail Run. \nThe race will start and finish at Celebratio Pomegranate Farm near Calitzdorp and will take riders on gravel roads in the Gamka Oos area. Riders will pass the Calitzdorp Warm Water Spa and Karoo Water on the outskirts of the Gamka River. \nAbout Celebratio Pomegranate Farm\n“The farm Celebratio\, situated between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp in the Little Karoo\, is owned by a third-generation Meyer who refused to take “no” for an answer when experts said the land was not suitable for the cultivation of any crops. Today Celebratio successfully grows and exports pomegranates. Gerhard permanently moved to the farm in October 2017. Since then he has been busy establishing an eco tourism leg to the farm. His dream is to make Celebratio a landmark in the Little Karoo with an offering second to none. SUMMARY:24Hours of Oak Valley
DESCRIPTION:You have asked and waited for it to return…the 24Hours of Oak Valley event is back in early 2020. \nCamp and ride your mountain bike in Grabouw for a weekend with friends and family\, while trail runners can join the 12hour. \nRiding around the clock in the Elgin Valley with various categories and this year the junior team option is back\, where we expect a big competition. Note that VERY limited solo entries will be taken\, to increase the team participation. \nOnly pre-entries taken\, so get your teams together and enter this awesome event. There will be food & drinks for sale and the ever-needed coffee stand. The venue is still a favourite with great facilities and beautiful scenery on the route and at the campsite and start/finish area! \nE-bikes will also be allowed to join in the fun in their own fun E-class category!  The Oak Valley course\, with its first half of climbing and the long descents in the second half\, is ideally suited to E-bikes. \nThe event is also a great platform to test these bikes and by introducing rules restricting the number of batteries you are allowed to use\, gives everyone to see what the bikes are capable of in real-life application.  See the website for the E-class rules. \nFormat: Ride as many 10km laps as you want or can over 24hours. The trail will keep participants busy with singletrack and jeeptrack sections. The course conditions even changes over night… \nTrail runners must run as many 6km laps as they want or can over the 12hour period\, ending at midnight. \nCATEGORIES for the MTB Relay: \n\nSolo – One person that rides as much as he/she wants during the 24-hour period.\nOpen (single sex) – team of 4 riders.\nMixed – team of 4 riders (A mix of male and female riders). There must be at least one person from the opposite sex to qualify as a mixed team.\nJuniors – team of 5 riders. All under 18.\nOneFourZero – team of 4 riders. Collective age 140 years +.\nFun category – teams of 5-8 riders.\n\nCATEGORIES for the Trail Run:\n• Solo – One person that runs as much as he/she wants during the 12-hour period.\n• 4 Man Team –team of 4 runners \nEntries will close 29 Jan 2020 – only pre entries taken! \nR2400 (VAT included) per team (Teams of 4 riders / runners and 2 support crew) \nR3000 (VAT included) for fun category (teams of 5-8 riders and 2 support crew) \nR600 (VAT included) for a solo rider / runner – including 1 support crew

SUMMARY:THE HIGHLAND 100
DESCRIPTION:Take on the Freestate’s one day 100km MTB marathon\, the HIGHLAND 100 in the iconic Eastern Highlands. \nBased in the iconic village of Clarens\, the route takes you on a postcard highlights tour of the region\, amongst towering buttes and the Maluti’s in the background. \nStart and finish is in the Clarens Town Square.   \nThe riding is designed to make the route fast\, not technically difficult. But don’t be fooled this is not an easy day out for everyone. \nMTB and E-Bikes are all allowed to participate. Sadly road conditions not ideal for Gravel bikes in 2019. \n​R450 entry fee includes race shirt and other goodie bag items. \nBeing a long weekend\, it’s the perfect chance to combine riding and a family weekend away\, savouring the sights\, sounds and tastes Clarens is famous for. \n​HIGHLAND 50:- Due to popular demand we have now added a 50km option to our event. This will also start & finish in the Clarens town square. It will take riders on a similar yet 50km shorter route than the 100km event. Gravel roads and stunning scenery. A water table will keep you fuelled through the race! \nR270 entry fee includes race shirt for first 200 entrants. \nPre-entries will close on 16th September  \nLate entry is available @ Registration (100km = R500\, 50kms = R300)
