DESCRIPTION:The Boomerang is a 40km cycle on jeep and single track on private farmland that is mostly otherwise inaccessible. \nCyclists can look forward to breath taking views of the Atlantic Ocean\, Table Mountain and even Kraal Bay through beautiful farmlands and indigenous fynbos reserves. Cyclists will be welcomed at Living Colour with coffee and rusks at registration\, enjoy a water point at !Khwattu and cycle home to their choice of delicious burger and beer (or choice of beverage). DESCRIPTION:Imagine an asteroid the size of Table Mountain\, heading for Earth at an estimated speed of 20 km per second. This is what happened in the Free State 2 Billion years ago. On impact\, it created a crater around 160–300 km across. The meteorite impact is the oldest and largest known meteorite impact structure on earth which is still visible today.\n\nKnown as the Vredefort Dome\, it is declared a world heritage site and the perfect setting for mountain bike racing. The route follows the banks of the third largest river in South Africa\, the Vaal River. DESCRIPTION:Looking for a challenge? Try “The Grind”. 150km of gravel starting from Maropeng\, in the Cradle of Humankind\, on an out-and-back route. Something new from The Leverage Corporation. We have seen many offerings for this kind of race\, but this will be done in True Leverage Corporation Style. Nice and slick\, nice and classy\, and an event to remember for all the right reasons. \nYou will ride from Maropeng\, into the Magalies region and then encounter areas that are little known to the average cyclist. Areas that are largely unexplored and that you probably have never heard of\, such as Maanhaarrand\, Vlakfontein\, Koesterfontein\, and a few more will be explored. \nCan you do it in 12 hours or less? Well\, that’s up to you. \nWe have tried to keep it reasonably flat\, but there’s still just over 1700m of climbing. \nOn the route\, we will have 5 checkpoints\, and these will double as change-over points\, well-stocked water tables\, and rest stations. \nThe good news is that you can choose to do it as a solo rider\, or you can get a team of two\, or a team of four together and share the 150km load. \n\nSolo riders will do 150km\nTeams of 2 will do 90km each\nTeams of 4 will do 60km each\n\nMore information: leveragecorporation.co.za/the-grind/

DESCRIPTION:LEGEND EXTREME DUATHLON \nMTB & Off Road Motorbike 2 Man Team \n6 – 8 August 2022 \nKathoek Adventure Farm (between Bredasdorp & Malgas) \nThe Legend Extreme Duathlon is a 2 Man Team stage event consisting of 1 MTB rider and 1 Off-Road Motorcycle rider per team. \nThe event takes place in the Overberg region. \nOVERVIEW \nThe goal of hosting this dual event is to bring MTB and Off-Road Motorcycle riders together\, increasing visitation in the Overberg District so that locals can benefit. One strategy focuses on making this area a top-box destination for various sport meeting and event planners by creating greater awareness\, attracting interested visitors resulting in increased tourist activity throughout the area. \nOur aim is to make this event an annual fixture\, it is the FIRST of its kind in the world. \nAdditional Info: \nRiders must also bring the following: \n\nWater bottles or hydration backpacks.
