DESCRIPTION:The first riders set off on Friday evening to conquer a gruelling 24 hours of gravel riding in the 200 miler (321km) route. \nFollowing the next morning\, riders will depart from Swellendam and will experience 100 miles (160km) of gravel road\, racing towards the Potberg mountain. \nThey will then reach Ouplaas to enter into a 30min neutral zone before riding the last 60km back towards Swellendam where the Gravel KING and QUEEN will be crowned each year. \nThere will be a shorter 60 miler (98km) ride which will also reach Ouplaas at 45km\, as well as a 25 miler (45km) fun ride through farmlands and gravel roads \nRiders will experience a superbly well-organized event with some great goodie bags\, well-stocked water points\, and spectacular on-route scenery. \nOVERVIEW & FACTS \nDate: Saturday 01/02 AUGUST 2025 \nDistances: 200 Miler | 100 Miler | 60 Miler | 25 Miler \nWhere: All 4 races will start and finish at the Swellendam Showgrounds. \nFormat: Solo\, Teams of 2\, Teams of 3 and Teams of 4 \nPlease note this is an outdoor MTB gravel-road race. DESCRIPTION:Which Sani2c should I enter? \nThere are three versions of the same event at KAP sani2c\, because there a lot of people who want to ride sani2c\, and a lot of them want to do it again\, and again\, every year in fact. So the team started duplicating sani2c to create more space\, with all three events now taking place over five days. The three events have each developed their own special character. \nKAP sani2c ‘OG’ (formerly known as KAP sani2c Race) \nThis is the original sani2c\, where it all started. These riders are the ‘original gangstas’ of sani2c. They have been around for a while and love being part of the ‘first’ event\, even though it is the last to start and finish each year. ‘OGs’ love to share their love of sani2c and welcome new riders\, especially encouraging women to become ‘OGs’. \nThe sani2c racing happens here. ‘OG’ is a UCI sanctioned event and a Prologue takes place the day before. The presence of the pro teams in the race villages creates a certain frisson in the air that you may experience at the other two events. \nThe OG starts on Thursday and finishes on Saturday. No e-bikes will be allowed to ride the ‘OG’\, they will be welcomed in the e-Trail. \nMore information: sani2c.co.za

This event promises to develop its character over time\, as 2024 was the first year that e-bikes were put into one focused event and the decision was made to keep this event smaller\, with just 250 teams\, or 500 riders. The added bonus? All riders enjoy a tent to themselves. \nThere is racing at e-Trail\, with leaders’ jerseys after each stage\, and the competition is fierce upfront. e-Trail riders love their mountain biking\, but some just don’t get the time to train to do the sani trails justice. Their e-bike helps them to enjoy the true value of a sani2c entry\, the ridiculously fun singletrack. \ne-Trail starts on Tuesday and finishes on Thursday. DESCRIPTION:The Trail is the first of the three sani2c events. This is the event that caters for teams with one\, or both\, teammates on an e-bike. \nThe Trail also allows for teams with both team members on conventional bikes. Starting on Tuesday and ending in Scottburgh on Thursday. \nThe Adventure is the second of the three sani2c events and historically has been the most popular. \nStarting on Wednesday at Glencairn and ending on Friday in Scottburgh\, just in time to enjoy the long weekend at the beach with family and friends. \nNo e-bikes will be allowed to ride the Adventure\, they will be welcomed in the Trail. \nYour entry fee includes: \n\n3 days of amazing trails though KZN.\n2 race villages with tented accommodation.\nA comfy high density Vitafoam mattress. DESCRIPTION:Once again you will be treated to beautiful and exiting MTB & Trail Running routes around Jonkersberg near Geelhoutboom during the annual Jakhals MTB & Trail Run Challenge. The races starts and finish at the well known Arendsrus Country Lodge. DESCRIPTION:Rhodes stands as a testament to those who dared to venture into South Africa’s Highlands. \nThrough the journey\, we aim to challenge not just your physical endurance but also your mental resilience and spirit. \nIt’s a journey of self-discovery and the process of becoming a better cyclist and opening your mind to new places and cultures. \nThe Rhodes route is 500 km\, and the race is limited to 13 participants. You will meet them at the start line\, and once the timer finishes counting down\, you will each take on the journey\, but the adventure will be different. \nThe Rhodes 500 is not just a cycling route.
