Riders can ride SOLO or RELAY as teams of 2 to 4 riders for 6 hours. \nFun Cup events are held on 5 – 8km courses designed for everyone to enjoy\, from the fastest racing snakes to the most social weekend riders. \nOur “Race Village” is where teams and solo riders set up gazebos\, pop up camping chairs and bring the whole family. This is where all riders can refresh and refill as often as needed. You’ll definitely feel the vibe\, support and the gees as you ride past up to 100 other teams and gazebos every time you start and complete a lap. \nIf you’re new to cycling or still looking for your desired fitness level\, enter as a team of 3 or 4 riders\, to relay more often and save some energy. \nIf you’re pretty fit and looking to spend more time on the bike\, enter as a 2 rider team to clock more laps per person. \nFor the brave and fit\, accept the challenge and enter solo. DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd of September\, the town will be hosting its not-to-be-missed Om Die Berg mountain bike challenge. The event offers an exciting nine-stage\, 55km mountain bike race – with a route traversing the base of the mountain; a less grueling 20km route; and a leisurely 10km cycle route. There is also a 21km trail run taking place\, as well as a 10km walking route for a more sedate pace. \nThe Om Die Berg event promises to be a favourite amongst mountain bike and outdoor enthusiasts\, with the routes navigating beautiful farmlands\, veld\, and mountainside scenery. DESCRIPTION:The Tourvest African Icons Invitational 2022 Ride consists of four days of MTB riding in one of South Africa’s most beautiful towns\, Dullstroom in Mpumalanga. \nNestled at 2100m above sea level\, Dullstroom is a renowned fly-fishing destination\, but equally attractive to many international sporting endurance teams looking to train at altitude. With breath-taking views and scenery for days\, Dullstroom is a mountain biking paradise and will play host to the third edition of the Tourvest African Icons Invitational cycle stage event. \nThis Iconic tour will consist of four days of mountain biking\, riding between 30 and 80 km each day\, on mountainous jeep track\, district roads and single-track in and around Dullstroom’s Dunkeld Equestrian Estate\, our home for the four days – so you only unpack once! The routes are not technical but due to the altitude and distances\, a reasonable level of fitness is required to complete what will be a truly remarkable four days of mountain biking. The event is planned such that we finish riding by lunchtime\, leaving the afternoons for other pursuits like fly-fishing\, golf\, whiskey-tasting and bird-of-prey demonstrations; all within a few minutes’ drive or walk from our accommodation. \nYour entry fee of only R 15\,000 will include: \n\n\n\nCycling kit and goodie bag to the value of R8\,500\n4-nights accommodation at the Dunkeld Equestrian Estate\nCatered breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner\nSelected drinks\nWine Tasting Evening\nBeer tasting event\nAccess to the estate’s facilities for various fun outdoor activities.\n\n\n\nMore info: http://www.africanicons.org.za/dullstroom-event/
