SUMMARY:Om Die Berg Mountain Bike Challenge
DESCRIPTION:On the 3rd of September\, the town will be hosting its not-to-be-missed Om Die Berg mountain bike challenge. The event offers an exciting nine-stage\, 55km mountain bike race – with a route traversing the base of the mountain; a less grueling 20km route; and a leisurely 10km cycle route. There is also a 21km trail run taking place\, as well as a 10km walking route for a more sedate pace. \nThe Om Die Berg event promises to be a favourite amongst mountain bike and outdoor enthusiasts\, with the routes navigating beautiful farmlands\, veld\, and mountainside scenery. DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Boland Landbou MTB will take place at Boland Agriculture School near Paarl in conjunction with their Festival Week on the 10th of September. \nBoland Agricultural High School is one of the leading educational institutions in the Western Cape\, where the normal academic curriculum can be supplemented with specialised agricultural training. \nWe are excited to have partnered with Onsite Events and Ride The Vines to ensure that our 1st MTB is a success. \nThe trails will meander on the farmlands of Landbou School as well as some of the adjacent farms in the region. DESCRIPTION:The Tourvest African Icons Invitational 2022 Ride consists of four days of MTB riding in one of South Africa’s most beautiful towns\, Dullstroom in Mpumalanga. \nNestled at 2100m above sea level\, Dullstroom is a renowned fly-fishing destination\, but equally attractive to many international sporting endurance teams looking to train at altitude. With breath-taking views and scenery for days\, Dullstroom is a mountain biking paradise and will play host to the third edition of the Tourvest African Icons Invitational cycle stage event. \nThis Iconic tour will consist of four days of mountain biking\, riding between 30 and 80 km each day\, on mountainous jeep track\, district roads and single-track in and around Dullstroom’s Dunkeld Equestrian Estate\, our home for the four days – so you only unpack once! The routes are not technical but due to the altitude and distances\, a reasonable level of fitness is required to complete what will be a truly remarkable four days of mountain biking.
