The Garden Route is without a doubt one of the most beautiful\, scenic regions in our country. \nRiders will receive lucky draw prizes\, goodie bags with packets of our famous choc chip cookies and more! Enter now to make sure you are a part of this unique experience. \nAll funds raised will go to Up with Downs – centre for learners with special needs. \nThe route \nThe route is suitable for cyclists with moderate to good fitness levels with no special technical riding skills required. This is where all riders can refresh and refill as often as needed. You’ll definitely feel the vibe\, support and the gees as you ride past up to 100 other teams and gazebos every time you start and complete a lap. \nIf you’re new to cycling or still looking for your desired fitness level\, enter as a team of 3 or 4 riders\, to relay more often and save some energy. \nIf you’re pretty fit and looking to spend more time on the bike\, enter as a 2 rider team to clock more laps per person. \nFor the brave and fit\, accept the challenge and enter solo. DESCRIPTION:CS Lewis said that ‘the road to hell is the gradual one – the gentle slope\, soft underfoot\, without sudden turnings\, without milestones\, without signposts.’ In this case\, the road to the Hell is a rocky dirt road with steep slopes\, sharp switchbacks\, ups and downs\, dropping a hair raising 3000 feet down into a valley. \nThis race proudly is the first MTB stage race in South Africa. The views while riding on these historic roads are extraordinary\, jaw-dropping and nail-biting all in one. It is known as the longest mountain pass in South Africa. \nThe overnight stop in The Hell means everybody stays together\, which makes for a great atmosphere. The uniqueness of the race village is ‘captured’ within the sheer remoteness of Gamkaskloof\, no electricity\, no cell reception\, no TV\, not even radio reception. \nIt was in 1995 that the first To Hell and Back took place. It came about from the love of riding and to popularise The Hell. DESCRIPTION:THIS IS A POINT TO POINT\, SOLELY GRAVEL ROUTE EVENT\, NO SECTIONS OF TAR ANYWHERE! \nKaroo to Montagu \nThree distances makes it possible for all fitness levels to experience this stunning ride: 70/100/210km \nThis event is open for Gravel bikes\, Mountain bikes and E bikes. \nEvent Distances \nKortpad/Shortcut 70km:  this route option is for those not so fit yet or a first time gravel event rider.  The route runs all the way downhill to Montagu with 3 short climbs that will test your lungs.  Just a fun way to get into gravel road riding. \nOmpad/Detour 100km:  adding a 30km through the reserve makes this the ideal distance if you have some fitness in your legs.  Not too long just that perfect distance making you finish in that sweet spot. \nLangpad/Longway 210km:  Race distance for the ultra marathon junkies\, those legs that know they can go the whole way.  This route has everything you may want on a gravel event\, some stiff climbs\, twisty downhill on a mountain pass and in between outstretched sections where you can really put the hammer down. Number collection will take place from 6h30 \nWhere: Rotsvas (access via 969 Disselboom Str\, Wapadrand) \nRoute options  \n\n28km – R300 – 08h00 – Challenging XCO Style course; not for beginners.\n6 km – R 100 – 11h00 – Kiddies Race (Medal to all finishers)\n\nYour entry will include the following \n\nEntries limited to 100 for the 28 Km\nEntries limited to 50 for the Kiddies Race\nVery rewarding MTB ride. Very technical sections\nOompha Band\, Craft Beer\, Jumping Castle\nBoutTime will ensure instant results on your phone and their website no more waiting\n\nGeneral information \n\nThe event is tough and highly challenging\, but also enjoyable and down-to-earth/ personal. DESCRIPTION:Day to Dusk MTB Relay Challenge \n3 December 2022 \nVenue: Malelane Rugby Klub \nSemi-Technical 5 km route. Open for E-bikes. \nThe route will be marked diligently. \nRegistration: \nVia Entry Ninja or manually with an entry form at Laerskool Malelane. There will also be availability to enter on the day. \nThere will be a water point area where all teams’ set-ups will stand (a “cockpit” idea). \nThere will be live entertainment and a fun park for children. There will also be various food stalls and alcoholic beverages.
