DESCRIPTION:Tour de Addo\, a unique Mountain Bike event staged in the mighty Addo Elephant National Park\, some 1640 km2 in size.\nAddo is host to magnificent game life including the Big 7. \nThe ride which is not a race will see a limited field of 35 riders tackle a 5-day mountain bike experience using two Glamping sites\, in the heart of the Addo Elephant National Park. Due to the nature of the terrain and the wildlife the group is accompanied by armed rangers with a lead and sweep vehicle to ensure safe passage for all. \nThe Ride is a true social affair with daily distances ranging from 25km to 50km per day. Adding to the social ride are the wonderful tented villages offering luxury tents with comfy bedding\, exquisite cuisine\, game walks\, star spotting\, and wonderful talks in the evening by some fascinating characters. \nE-Bikes are more than welcome and there will be capacity to move batteries on the ride and charge bikes in the evenings. As we always have a game drive vehicle with us\, the option to load your bike up and rest the legs is always available. DESCRIPTION:AURORA OM DIE BERG. This is an annual cycling event that is hosted alongside the AURORA SKOU. There are 3 cycling routes\, starting with a fun 10km\, an intermediate 20km and an exciting and adventurous 55km. \nThe 55km route will take you through farm routes and around the Aurora mountain\, back to town. \nThis route is a challenge for many\, but if you are able to enjoy the scenery along the way\, you will enjoy the flowers in full bloom\, on a single track over the mountain. \nThis route is only open for this event\, so make sure not to miss out. DESCRIPTION:Make sure your lights are charged up because you are going to need them. Join us for the last supermoon of the year\, and let’s see how many laps of the Coetzenburg XCO track you can do in the dark. \nThe race will take place on a very lightly modified (for safety) version of the UCI XCO World Cup track at Coetzenburg. DESCRIPTION:DATES: Monday 11 – Saturday 16 September 2023\nWHAT YOU GET WITH YOUR ENTRY PACKAGE:\n– 7 nights accommodation\, 3x meals a day (breakfast\, lunch & dinner)\n– 5 riding days + 1 moving/rest day = 6 days of REAL mountain biking\n– amazing options for supporters & families including rock pools\, water falls\, shorter rides\, pony treks\, trail runs & hikes (booked separately on request)\n– Transport of luggage between the base camps\n– The 1st night (Sunday\, 10th Sept 2023) BEFORE the first stage and the 7th night AFTER the final stage (Saturday\, 16th Sept 2023) are included in your package. You don’t want to miss out on the legendary bonfire night and leave relaxed\, after breakfast\, on Sunday morning.\n– A challenging route with optional Strava segments. Timing is not compulsory. Prizes awarded at discretion of organisers.\n– 1 or 2 water points per day with plenty of drinks\, water and a variety of sweet and savoury foods and fruit.\n– A world-class GPS mountain bike route\n– 4×4 Safety vehicles including professional medical support.\n– Professional Bike Guides from Lesotho (there will be 3 groups for slow\, medium & fast riders) If you manage to beat the fastest rider from Lesotho\, you may expect a special award. Note: Basotho riders are fast ;-)\n– A daily route briefing with pictures from the days riding.\n– A Professional photographer will capture the moments.
