DESCRIPTION:The Swartberg100 Gran Fondo starts and ends in Prince Albert\, arguably one of the most attractive Karoo towns in South Africa\, it covers 171 km of which there are 3 gravel sectors. The final climb is over the gravel Swartberg Pass\, a relentless climb of 28 km with gradients of 16% as you reach the summit. \nThe Staffetta (Italian for relay race)\, follows the Gran Fondo Route and divides it exactly in 2 x 85.5 km stages. The first stage is suited to a rouleur and the second stage to a grimpeur type rider \nThe E-Fondo is for a pedal assisted e-bikes\, 65km and 1900m a spectacular route over the Swartberg Pass\, plenty of climbing. \nThe Medio Fondo – flat and fast 55km with 350m of ascent \nCovid-19 Cancellation Entrants \n\nWe have moved all August 2021 entrants to this date\, we have increased the price slightly to cover the losses incurred by 3 cancellations.\nEach entrant on the Gran Fondo will have a R250.00 top up to pay for their entry.\nNew entrants will have to pay the slightly inflated price\nWe will return to our normal price in 2023\n\nPricing \nGran Fondo……………………………………..  R 1800.00 \nMedio Fondo……………………………………. DESCRIPTION:About the Event \nRy Hom Kwagga is a new two day mountain bike event set in the Agterveld region\, Montagu\, Touwsriver area. \nAbout the area: \nThis is the Klein Karoo at it’s best\, vast expanses\, clean air\, the sound and smells of the veld\, stars so close you can almost touch it.  Look further and expand your horizons\, this allows you to breathe and dream again. \nOver the last 20 years this area has gone from sheep farming to guest farms and the game has moved into our area by themselves: gemsbuck\, eland\, kudu\, wildebeest and of course the Quagga/Kwagga has been here\, also many of smaller game species. \nThis two day event has two distances to choose from\, your longer distance will include some technical terrain while the shorter distances are just great riding\, jeep track that is in good condition. \nThe trails we chose for this runs through seven different farms ranging from cattle to sheep farms but with an outlook of hospitality and bringing nature back into balance.  On one of the farms\, Middelberg Guest Farm you might spot the Kwaggas and if you look closely you will see stripes disappearing from the back side like the original Quagga. \nE Bikes are welcome \nVisit Event website for more info \nTHESE ARE NOT GRAVEL GRINDER EVENTS! \nStage 1: 78km with 1047m ascent \n50km with 492m ascent \nStage 2: 75km with 1040m ascent \n48km with 600m ascent \nCost:  R1200 which includes two Passion4Wholeness breakfasts

The Tanqua Kuru Bicycle Race is one of a kind – deep in the heart of the Tankwa Karoo. \nIt’s unforgettable. \nThe Tanqua Kuru Bicycle Race is a two-day gravel race. \nThe race has been specifically designed to test a modern gravel bicycle\, however\, our aim is to bring all people who love bicycles together. We want to be as inclusionary as possible\, so we welcome any type of bicycle to take part. \nTHE FORMAT. \nDay 1 (Long) – 110km – 450m ascent (more gravel) \nor \nDay 1 (Short) – 55km – 150m ascent (more chill) \nDay 2 – 60 km – 250m ascent \nThis year\, we will have two race categories: \n\n\nFirst over the line \n\n\nPoints race.
