The Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic will once again host their Corporate Challenge as part of this popular race between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, but this year there is something worth pedaling for! The winning corporate team of the 106km race will enjoy a two-hour sunset cruise on the luxurious Spirit of eLan. Every year the Challenge provides a great team building opportunity for companies to motivate and inspire staff.

“Team building is a proven way to build trust and strengthen relationships among employees. Our Corporate Challenge is a special offering to businesses big and small offering a great team building and brand building opportunity. We encourage all corporates to embrace the Spirit of Amashova and get involved by entering a team,” says race organiser, Annie Batchelder. Companies such as ABSA, Cipla Medpro, FLSmidth and Afrimat Aggregates KZN have already signed a team up.

Team building is a great way to motivate staff leaving them feeling refreshed, focused and motivated. The Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic organisers encourage all businesses to use the Challenge as a great way to get their staff out of their comfort zone and into a bike saddle. With a distance to suit all experience levels, just about anyone can join in the fun.

“The Challenge is also a great way for companies to create awareness around their brands,” concludes Batchelder.

The group entry package includes an early start time and a special registration area for race pack collection. Contenders in the 106km race stand the chance to win a sunset cruise for 20 people on the luxurious Spirit of eLan catamaran.

Entries cost R680 per person for the 106km race, R450 per person for the 65km race and R320 per person for the 35km fun ride. This excludes the RaceTec timing chip. A minimum of five new entries are required to enter a team. “For those individuals who have already entered, we can convert existing entries into group entries over and above the five new entries submitted so they can still be included in the Corporate Challenge,” explains Batchelder.
