For the first time in its illustrious 40-year history, the Cape Town Cycle Tour was cancelled owing to extreme weather conditions, protest action along the route and fires. Despite the disappointment, participants didn’t let the adverse outcome affect their spirits – a large contingent of riders trundled along the Atlantic Sea Board for coffee and quick spin before heading home.
