In a new video, Continental Tyres and Adidas explore a crazy concept: the shoe bike. – By Molly Hurford

Cyclists, meet the Shoe Bike.
That’s right. Instead of tubes and tyres, this bike comes with 12 high-performance sneakers – boasting Continental Tyre tread soles, of course, and Adidas’ iconic striping on the sides – arranged into two wheels and attached to a yellow frame.

The bikes seem to pedal pretty darn well, considering, and bonus: There’s minimal chance of flatting (though you could lose a shoe). No comment about how the tread was selected, but it does appear that the different bikes ridden in the video feature variations that span from road to trail functionalities.
