Greg Minnaar world cup

South Africa’s Greg Minnaar has fractured his right arm in practice and is out of his favourite World Cup DH event at Fort William, Scotland this weekend. Minnaar won the event in 2017.

According to Minnaar’s Instagram account, while practicing on the new Santa Cruz V10 29er prototype, he crashed and joked that the bike was ‘too quick for him.’

Minnaar has won at Fort William seven times during his long career.

Former world Xterra champion Conrad Stoltz – known for his ability to ride through injury – suggested in the comments under the post that Minnaar use duct tape to solve the problem.

Minnaar is expected to be out of racing for at least six weeks.
