De Hoop Vlei MTB Experience

Experience a taste of the Wild and Wonderful, at the De Hoop Vlei MTB Experience, hosted at De Hoop Collection.

We are presenting a weekend of pure Mountain Bike adventure riding, and a few surpising special additions to add to this boutique experience at the De Hoop Vlei MTB Experience.

Kicking off on Friday the 17th with a short Sunset Scramble warm-up ride of 12km starting at 4pm. Riding into a spectacular sunset where Bontebok perfects the picture of White dunes in the background.

Saturday 18 May

Distance: 50km

The Route will showcast the best of MTB trails in the De Hoop Collection. This year we have a very unique Start at the Melkkamer, situated on the furthest edge of the Ramsar Vlei. This historical Opstal homestead offers a hideaway destination, with two additional Vlei cottages on the island.

Sunday 19 May

Distance: 62km

The Route is a tough challenge that includes 3 steep climbs at The Tar Flatty in the beginning, the Vaalkrans cement climb up to the Ocean view point, and the final climb up to Morokuru beach lodge.
