Want to ride harder? Sign up to The Windhoek Light Namib Quest – a 6-day mountain bike stage race, known to be one of the most challenging MTB events in Africa. The route covers 450km through the Namib desert, starting in Windhoek and ending in the famous, breathtaking, coastal town of Swakopmund, Namibia.

The Namib Desert, thought to be the world’s oldest, is over 50 million years old and consists of thousands of kilometres of sand and copper dunes reaching up to 400 metres, and stretching to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Race

As the first MTB stage race in Namibia, the Windhoek Light Namib Quest is a unique race, offering riders a diverse landscape with challenging routes, tented accommodation, a fully equipped race village and loads of entertainment.

The Race Village is designed to make the participants feel right at home and includes a coffee station, cash bar, snack table, charging station for phones and GPS devices etc., hot showers, bon fires, bean bags and so much more!

The 6-day event takes place on 19 May, starts in Windhoek, and covers a total ascent of 6286m, over the 450km route.
