First Look: Cabal’s New TT Bike
The Valor TT is a machine built with one purpose: to go fast.
Some bikes are designed to handle everything. The Cabal Valor TT isn’t one of them. This is a bike created with one goal: to go fast. The Valor is the newest addition to Cabal’s lineup, which already includes the AERO 2 road bike and the Project X Gravel. Every frame tube, angle and component works together to keep you locked into an efficient, aerodynamic position for as long as your legs can hold it. It’s the kind of machine you bring to the start line of your club’s midweek time trial or wheel out when you’re gunning for a PB on the Ironman course in Nelson Mandela Bay.

The Backbone: Toray Carbon Fibre
The frame is made from quality Japanese Toray carbon fibre. It’s a name you’ll hear often in pro circles, known for striking the sweet spot between lightness and stiffness. The careful layup means more of your effort goes straight to the wheels, with less energy lost through unwanted flex.
A Fit That Works With You
Time trial and triathlon bikes often get a bad rap for being uncomfortable. Cabal takes a different approach by tailoring each bike to its rider, by doing an upfront fitting and then custom-building the bike to ensure optimum comfort and performance. The result is a bike that lets you hold aggressive positions longer, pushing harder without compromising your ability to keep form over extended efforts. You also get to fully custom-design your paint scheme to truly set your bike apart. No two bikes will ever look the same. This is done by local artists, and it’s world-class. Take a look at Cabalbikes’ Instagram feed and you’ll get an idea of the insane level of detail and technical skill that can be achieved in this regard.

Integration Done Right
Up front, the fully integrated cockpit brings performance and adjustability. You can tweak it until your position is just right, whether that’s more aero for race day or slightly more relaxed for training. Internal cabling keeps everything tidy and out of the wind, and the SRAM AXS system with wireless blips on the aero bar extensions (aka skis) offers fast, reliable shifting. (The cockpit setup is SRAM Red; the drivetrain is SRAM Force.)
The wheel combo is Cabal’s own PDX60/68 set – full carbon with bladed spokes. They’re designed to cheat the wind and carry speed with minimal resistance.
