Paarl Boxing Day Track Cycling Challenge
The historic Paarl Boxing Day Track Challenge will be staged for the 122nd time on 26 December 2019.
Paarl Boxing Day annually hosts South Africa’s foremost professional cyclists as well as a top-class international contingent who tackle each other for a share of the R100 000 prize purse in front of a capacity 5000 spectators at the Faure Street Stadium in Paarl.
The Paarl Boxing Day Track Challenge, presented in association with the Drakenstein Municipality, is the longest running cycling event in the world in all forms of the sport. The meeting has not skipped a year since its inception in 1897.
Paarl Boxing Day is not only the biggest track cycling event in Africa, it’s also one of the most spectated in-stadium sporting events on the continent.
