Sona’s Versatile Gravel Traveller

Available as a frameset only, the Sona Saga is designed as a long-distance ‘loaded’ touring bike, meaning it’s built specifically to carry all of your travelling equipment.

With this in mind, everything about the Saga is intended to be robust, durable and long-lasting. Because when you’re pedalling your bike thousands of kilometres, every element of the frame needs to be bulletproof.

The Saga is constructed from Tange Prestige CrMo tubing with a 31.8mm butted downtube and top tube providing extra stiffness in the front triangle. As heavy loads will be carried on the fork and handlebar, the Saga’s head tube has been reinforced, making it almost impossible to oval-ise.

Geometry and tube lengths are all geared towards ride comfort and stability, as the added weight of fully-laden panniers can compromise handling if the geometry is too aggressive.

One of the Saga’s greatest attributes is its versatility in terms of build kits: in collaboration with Soma locally – or independently, with your LBS – you can build up your Saga to exactly suit the type of touring (or commuting) you plan on doing most regularly.
