Toyota Tour de Virtuale Season 3 Terms & Conditions(Required) 1. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
1.1. Toyota South Africa Motors (Pty) Ltd, with registration number: 1961/001767/07 (the “Promoter”) is hosting tournament called the Toyota Tour de Virtuale (the “Tournament”). The Tournament is a series of eight virtual community rides, kicking off in January 2024, taking place on Zwift. Led by a different special guest each week, these are 45-minute no-drop rides, geared to create camaraderie among the riders (the “Participants”).
1.2. Please read the full Tournament Rules (“Rules”) below, along with our General Terms (https://www.toyota.co.za/terms-conditions) (See below Clause 6) and Privacy Policy (https://www.toyota.co.za/privacy-notice) (“Policies”), before entering the Tournament.
1.3. Failure to adhere to the terms and conditions relating to the Tournament may result in the Participant being disqualified from the Tournament.
1.4. The Tournament and the functioning of the facilitating website are governed by the laws of South Africa only.

2. TOURNAMENT FEATURES AND COMPETITION RULES:
2.1. The Tournament will be held on the Zwift online platform, with 8 community rides running every week from Wednesday, 17 January 2024 until Wednesday, 6 March 2024.
2.2 All ride details will be hosted on the Bicycling Mag website (www.bicycling.co.za) for the duration of the Tournament.
2.3. To stand a chance to win prizes, the Participants are required to register on the Bicycling Mag website, by providing their full names, email, and contact number. Failure to do so will render the Participant illegible for the prize winnings. The Participant is also required to register a Zwift Power account to be legible to be entered in the draw. The link to create the Zwift Power account is available on the Bicycling Mag Website
2.4. For each community ride a Participant completes, the Participant will gain one (1) entry into the Grand Prize.
2.5. At the end of each weekly community ride, one (1) randomly selected Participant will receive a spot prize for participating and completing the full community ride.
2.6. To qualify for the prizes, the following Competition rules are applicable:
2.6.1. Weekly Spot Prizes:
2.6.1.1. Each week one (1) lucky Participant who has participated and completed the weekly community ride will win a spot prize.
2.6.1.2. The lucky Participant is selected in a random lucky draw every Monday after the community ride. The lucky Participant will then be contacted by the Promoter on the Wednesday following the community ride.
2.6.1.2.1. Weekly Spot Prizes are as follows:
2.6.1.2.2. There will be a spot prize on offer after each community ride. Winners will be selected in a random draw.
2.6.1.2.3. The spot prizes will be in the form of cycling gear, to the value of R5,000 each week.
2.6.2. Grand Prize:
2.6.2.1. Participants must actively take part in at least one (1) of the community rides to gain an entry into the grand prize.
2.6.2.2. For every community ride they actively take part in they gain one (1) entry.
2.6.2.3. Participants will have the chance to gain an additional entry by engaging on the Promoter’s social media post each Saturday for the duration of the Tournament. This will earn the Participant one (1) extra entry into the grand prize. The social media engagement may, for instance, require the Participants to post images of themselves in their cycling gear with their Toyota vehicle. Additional entries will only be considered if the Participant has followed the rules set out in the social media posts.
2.6.2.4. Unless otherwise advised, the grand prize winner will be selected in a random draw on Wednesday, 13 March 2024 and contacted by Friday, 15 March 2024.
2.6.2.4.1. Grand Prize is as follows:
2.6.2.4.2.The grand prize on offer is an all-expenses-paid VIP experience at the Giro d’Italia for 2 people, which includes:
2.6.2.4.3. Cost of flights,
2.6.2.4.4. Cost for accommodation,
2.6.2.4.5. VISA costs, and
2.6.2.4.6. The cost to take part in the VIP Experience.
2.6.2.4.7. The prize will be given to 1 participant and their family member or friend.
2.6.2.4.8. The VIP experience will be run by Mummy Cycling in Italy who will arrange logistics while in Italy.
2.6.2.4.9. The VIP experience will take place at stage 20 of the Giro d’Italia on Saturday, 25 May 2024 only. This is the only day on offer and cannot be changed to another date or stage of the race.
2.6.2.4.10. The responsibility is on the winner and their chosen family member / friend to ensure they follow all times and plans as supplied to them. Failure to do so may result in them forfeiting the experience.
2.6.2.4.11. VISA and passports are the sole responsibility of the winner and their family member / friend. Should the VISA not be accepted for any reason, the winner will forfeit the prize.
2.7. All Tournament winner/s are required to verify their identity and age by providing the Promoter with a copy of ID before receiving their prize.
2.8. Should the prize winners not respond in 5 business days, the winner will forfeit their prize and another winner will be selected.
3. PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY:
3.1. All entrants / Tournament Participants must be 18 years of age or older on the date of the Tournament launching. Users under 18 years of age are not eligible to compete in the Tournament.
3.2. Prizes are only open to South African citizens Participants, while the Zwift community rides are open to all nationalities.
3.3. All Participants need to have a Zwift account to take part in the Tournament, as well as Zwift Power to qualify to win prizes.
3.4. Participants must actively take part in the community rides to be eligible to win any prizes. An active Participant is classified as someone who has completed the community ride with the influential rider, from start to finish.
3.5. Notwithstanding clause 3.4, in the event where an influential rider is not available for a community ride, the Participant is still required to complete the ride in order to be eligible for a prize.
3.6. Employees of the Promoter and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, representatives, advertising, promotion and publicity agencies and the immediate families of each are not eligible to participate in the Tournament.
3.7. To claim a prize, the winner must produce their valid South African identity book or smart card and complete the prize acceptance form (which will be made available to all winners in writing).
3.8. The winner of the grand prize must have a valid South African passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the travel period for VISA purposes.
4. COST:
4.1. There is no fee to sign up to the Tournament in order to take part.
4.2. Costs for Zwift will have to be covered by participants in order to take part in the competitive rides.
4.3. All costs for internet access to social media platforms or the Bicycling Mag website are for the participant’s own cost.
5. DURATION:
This Tournament will run from Wednesday, 17 January 2024 until Wednesday, 6 March 2024.
6. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
6.1. Participation in the competition is deemed to be acceptance of these T&C’s by the Participant.
6.2. Should there be a dispute, a Participant is entitled to make representations in writing to the Promoter during the competition period. The Promoter shall consider such representations and notify the Participant in writing as to the decision taken in respect of the dispute. The Promoter’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding. No reasons shall be required in respect of such decision and no further correspondence will be entered into.
6.3. The Promoter reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to change the T&C’s without prior notice and at its discretion or extend, postpone or discontinue the competition at any time.
6.4. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw this competition without notice in the event of force majeure. For the purposes of these T&C’s an event of force majeure shall include but not be limited to any event beyond the reasonable control of a party, such as war, earthquakes, disasters, calamities, strikes or similar circumstances (including the threat thereof).
6.5. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion thereafter selecting the winner from all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation or suspension.
6.6. The Promoter may refuse to award a prize to any Participant if, in the Promoter’s sole opinion, that Participant has violated the T&C’s or has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the competition.
6.7. The Prize is non-transferable.
6.8. The Prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
6.9. All Participants enter and participate in this Tournament at their own risk. The Promoter will not be liable for any damage or injury whatsoever incurred by any Participant when participating in the competition (including but not limited to any indirect or consequential loss).
6.10. All Prizes are received entirely at the Prize winner’s own risk.
6.11. Prize winners indemnify the Promoter against any liability for accident or loss of life, personal injury, property damage or other loss, cost or expense arising from any claim including third party claims in connection with the prize winner’s participation in the competition.
6.12. The Promoter reserves the right and discretion to extend any time limit or waive any of the T&C’s where it transpires that a Participant might otherwise be disqualified.
6.13. These T&C’s are subject to all applicable venue and licensing laws and regulations.
6.14. These T&C’s will be made available on the Promoter’s website at http://www.toyota.co.za and Bicycling Mag website at www.bicycling.co.za during the competition period.
6.15. By reading and accepting these T&C’s, the Participant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter; their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any technical errors, damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the competition and related events and activities, save where such damage, costs, injuries and loss is sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any of the indemnified parties.
6.16. Data protection and publicity – The Promoter is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these T&C’s, subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by the Promoter and/or its agents to administer the competition. Photos and videos of the winners may be used for the Promoters marketing purposes.
6.17. The Promoter may extend an invitation to the winner to take part in various publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition without any further compensation, however, the winner may decline such invitation.
