BICYCLING STAFF |

Come and spend a weekend of mountain biking and gravel riding at the two-day The Brewery To Brewery MTB and Gravel Race, presented by Bicycling, from October 15-16 in Greyton and Hermanus.

With various routes designed to suit everyone from the racing snakes to the casual rider, The Brewery To Brewery weekend is all about enjoying the trails, stunning farm roads and beautiful surroundings of Greyton and Hermanus and then relaxing with friends afterwards.

Whale Watching
The original Brewery to Brewery MTB and Gravel race started four years ago, traversing the landscapes of Greyton in the Overberg, and the regions surrounding the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus – the whale watching capital of the world.

On Saturday, October 15 riders will have a choice of two options in Greyton: Either a single-track extravaganza to the highest peaks around the small town – prepared and manicured by the locals themselves – or a long gravel ride all along the local farmlands with the backdrop of the Riviersonderend mountain ranges around you.

On Sunday, October 16 tackle the 90km adventure from Greyton to Hermanus. The Sunday route transverses the landscapes of the Overberg farmlands and canola fields, through the windmills in Caledon towards Karwyderskraal and then finally dropping into the famous Hemel en Aarde Valley, which is downhill all the way to the Hemel en Aarde Brewery, where an ice cold lager will be waiting for you. The last stretch will be entering the Hermanus MTB trail and following the traditional Wines to Whales route, including River Radness.
