Besides, you do have the option of loosening the mechanism to suit your specific needs. The tailored fit system ensures the helmet stays snugly in place – even on the bumpy and corrugated MTB trail.
The large vents promote good airflow which helps keep your head cool but the best feature are the straps. If you’re like me a helmet has to fit properly – this means not only a tight head fit but, more importantly, flat straps. Unlike other helmet straps that twist and fold, the Zephyr’s stay flush on your cheeks owing to the specially designed ‘no twist’ fasteners which, according to Bell, save up to 9 watts!

The clincher: A purposely positioned pad under the Bell logo channels sweat off your brow. Bell says it deposits the sweat away from your eyes and out in front of your sunglasses, and it works – I’ve been using the helmet for just over 2 months now and not only are my eyes sweat-free during tough workouts, there’s less muck and gunk on my shades, too.
