The second instalment of the Toyota Tour de Virtuale community ride  is taking place on Wednesday 24 January at 6pm on Zwift.

The ride will be 45 minutes with the aim of it being a no-drop ride, so it’s important to remember, it’s a ride, not a race.

Your ride leader for this ride is the professional mountain biker Mariske Straus.

About Your Ride Leader: Mariske Strauss

Forever smiling, Mariske is a 17x SA and 5x African XCO Champion. Having represented South Africa 12 times, her CV is pages long with all her podiums, both locally and globally.

Not just an avid cyclist, she also boasts a Bachelor of Science in Sport Science degree from Stellenbosch University, with a number of sports-related courses under belt. She has also commentated for Cycling South Africa.

About The Course For Ride 2

The course is typically flat to rolling terrain. We will try to ride at around 1.8 w/kg to 2.0 w/kg. The aim is to keep the group together throughout the ride.

How Do I Join The Ride?

In order to participate in the ride, you’ll need to sign up. Click here for all the information on the sign-up process and how the Toyota Tour de Virtuale Season 3 will run. You will only need to sign up once. There is no need to sign up for each ride. We do, however, request that you link to ZwiftPower. This helps us with drawing the weekly winners.

After you’re signed up, simply click on the Ride 2 link in the right-hand column just before 6pm on Wednesday.  We look forward to riding with you!
