If you leave the bike-to-run transition while still biking but technically connecting your shoes with the ground, will you get kicked out of a duathlon?These are the questions that a hilarious video from Continental Tyres left us pondering, thanks to a zany invention the company made in partnership with Adidas.

Cyclists, meet the Shoe Bike.
That’s right. Instead of tubes and tyres, this bike comes with 12 high-performance sneakers – boasting Continental Tyre tread soles, of course, and Adidas’ iconic striping on the sides – arranged into two wheels and attached to a yellow frame.

The bikes seem to pedal pretty darn well, considering, and bonus: There’s minimal chance of flatting (though you could lose a shoe). No comment about how the tread was selected, but it does appear that the different bikes ridden in the video feature variations that span from road to trail functionalities.
