The Breedenet Cape Duo Entries Are Open!
Push your road and mountain bike skills to the limit and be crowned the ultimate cyclist this October.
You love the smell of the dirt track, you love the speed of the tarmac. This October, prove to yourself and others that you are the ultimate, complete cyclist. The Breedenet Cape Duo presents you the opportunity to tackle road and mountain bike trials over three days, testing your speed, skill and handling.
Take on the challenge with a teammate or take it on solo, as your accumulative time will determine your final standing on the GC.
The first stage will test road skills with climbs over Wellington’s infamous Bainskloof pass into the breath-taking Slanghoek Valley and back again. Celebrate a solid 120km ride with an executive lunch under the tree’s of Schalk Burger and Sons Welbedacht Wine Estate, our host venue for day 1 and 2.
Welvanpas is waiting to test your grit and handling, offering epic single track mountain bike trails. Day 2, stage 2 will bring you up close to the beauty of the Western Cape, ending in front of adoring fans at the Welbedacht Wine Estate. Consider some wine tasting after another great lunch to celebrate the day’s success.
Bring along your time trial bars for day 3, stage 3 as this will be your opportunity to improve your standing on the GC. Participants will push their speed on the road around Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Paarl, our host venue for the final day. Stage 4 will take you onto the Hero trails of Rhebokskloof to complete the Breedenet Cape Duo 2018.
You’ll have bragging rights, you will join the ranks as a #CapeduoLegend, but will also be making a huge difference in the lives of the Little ones of “Blikkiesdorp” in Delft. The Ground Level Early Childhood Development Centre feeds, educates and prepares the local children for Grade 1. – Their parents are assisted in the school enrollment process, with paid school fees for the year as well as school uniforms and stationary provided. It’s all to ensure that these little ones have a good start to their schooling career. 2018 saw 35 GL students successfully start Grade 1 due to the support received!
